Newburgh, Ind.—April 22, 2013— The more Alex Pettas gets to race this year, the more comfortable he continues to become with the new tires and some of the other changes that have been instituted this season. After wrapping up the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series show at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN and the MOWA (Midwest Open Wheel Association) race in Danville, IL, the team is very pleased with what they have learned and how fast the car has been. Friday nights World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car show in Paducah, KY was rained out.
Pettas made his first career start at both the Tri-State Speedway and the Vermillion County Fairgrounds. “It sure was nice being able to race 2 or 3 nights close to home where we could get back each night and sleep in our own beds.” said Alex. “We knew we were at a disadvantage racing against 410′s with a 360 motor but wanted to use these races (Paducah & Haubstadt) as testing for some upcoming 360/MOWA shows at these tracks later this summer where we’ll be competitive.”
